Galway City – A City for All – Survey 2023

Galway City Community Network (GCCN) and the Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) of Galway City are actively working to promote inclusivity in Galway City. Currently, they are conducting a survey aimed at gathering the voices and experiences of individuals who belong to protected groups. These groups include those protected from discrimination based on age, gender, disability, sexuality, ethnicity, marital status, religious belief, or who belong to a low-income household.

The main objective of the survey is to ensure that the Local Economic and Community Development Plan (LECP) reflects the needs and experiences of all members of the community. This plan plays a vital role in supporting the economic and community development of Galway City. Therefore, it is essential that the voice of every community is heard and included.

If you belong to a protected group or a low-income household, it is important that you participate in the survey and have your voice heard.

It will help the GCCN and the LCDC to better understand the challenges and issues faced by these communities. Which, in turn, will enable the development of policies and strategies that address the needs of these communities and promote greater inclusion throughout Galway City.

You can access the survey online (see links on the right). This is designed to be quick and easy to complete. All responses will remain anonymous and confidential and will be solely used for the purpose of developing the Local Economic and Community Development Plan.
