Getting involved is the best way your group or community can have a voice in shaping the future of Galway City.
How to contribute or to publicise an issue or event
The GCCN Newsletter is open to all GCCN Members. Through our newsletter, GCCN keeps members informed of events, funding, open calls, meetings and much more.
Information is gathered either directly from members and other stakeholders or from official sources.
The newsletter is issued on a monthly basis or as necessary, usually on the first Thursday of each month. This might vary.
We invite all members to make a relevant submission via email at communications@gccn.ie.
Criteria for newsletter inclusion
The type of events that can be included must be relevant to the community/voluntary/environmental sector in Galway City and are:
- Relevant events including member’s events (free or with not-for-profit fees)
- Funding, bursaries, open calls etc.
- Public consultations, relevant surveys
- Relevant resources
- Fundraisers
- Courses or workshops
- Campaigns of public interest
- Official updates and information
- Anything that is relevant to the community
Note:
- Please submit your event in as much advance as possible.
- Not all types of events can be published in the GCCN Newsletter. Non-relevant submissions will not be considered.
- We are not in a position to share third-party commercial information through our official channels. As a Public Participation Network, we prioritise sharing community-led or public-sector information in order to maintain a neutral, non-commercial space for our members.
