GCCN would like to thank everyone who joined us at our Winter Plenary & Christmas Social on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 from 6.30pm in The Menlo Park Hotel — it was a truly special gathering!
For those who couldn’t make it, we would like to share below some of the highlights from what turned out to be a wonderful evening.
We began the evening with a heartwarming performance from the Ukrainian Ethnic Choir – Harmony. Their beautiful songs set the perfect tone for the evening and reminded us of the rich diversity within our community.
The first part of the meeting, the Plenary, was then opened with a warm welcome and introductions around the room.
It was fantastic to see such a great turnout, and the energy in the room was inspiring.
The meeting included two important ratifications.
- Olena Bratchenko – Ukrainins Helping Ukrainians Galway – was ratified as GCCN Representative on SPC1: Social Development
- Gina McNamara – Vision Ireland – was ratified as Board Member on the GCCN Secretariat.
We also heard an update on GCCN’s recent work, including the positive collaborations with Galway City Council and other stakeholders that highlight the power of working together.
You can find the details in the presentation slides available for download below.
Thank you again to everyone who attended and contributed your time, ideas, and energy. Your participation is what makes GCCN such a strong and vibrant network.
If you missed the meeting, don’t worry—you can catch up on the key updates and discussion points in the documentation included below.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish all our members a joyful holiday season!
