The planning process to inform Galway City Arts Strategy 2020-2025 is under way.
The strategy will set out the main goals and objective for arts development and provide a policy framework to guide Galway City Council’s investment in the arts in the medium-term. The Arts Strategy will be framed within the context of national arts
policy as set out in the Arts Council’s Strategy Making Great Art Work 2015-2025 and legislation under the Arts Act 2003 – you can access the relevant sections by clicking on this link http://www.irishstatutebook.ie/eli/2003/act/24/enacted/en/html.
The contribution of Artists (in all art-forms), Arts Practitioners, Arts Venues, Festivals and Organisations and interested parties is being sought in order to fully inform the preparation of the Arts Strategy.
Your participation is welcomed and valued.
The closing date for returning the arts questionnaire is 5pm on Friday the 25th September 2020.In the coming days, GCCN will organise a meeting with all interested GCCN members to feed into a second GCCN Submission on Galway City Arts Strategy 2020-2025. Details will be circulated soon. To view the first GCCN Submission made in April 2020, please go here. |
