The next meeting of the GCCN Social Inclusion Linkage Group will take place remotely on May 11th at 2pm.

This will be an opportunity to discuss progress on the Local Economic and Community Plan, the process of the development of the new LECP, and general updates in relation to social inclusion nationally and in the city.
In the context of the new National Action Plan Against Racism, this meeting will have a specific focus on the national consultation Towards a National Action Plan Against Racism for Ireland.
An independent Anti-Racism Committee was appointed by the government in 2020 to develop a new National Action Plan Against Racism for Ireland. A national consultation was launched on April 21st to feed into the plan. The consultation runs until July 14th. Anastasia Crickley, who is a member of the National Anti-Racism Committee, will give an update on the work of the Anti-Racism Committee and an overview of the committee’s Interim Report.
The remainder of the session will focus on a discussion on priority areas for the Plan which can be developed into a submission.
